The final image from our @brizofaucet Invari series. We built a hexagonal room overwhelmed with vibrant florals. We installed faucets on each facet of the wall (with working taps!) that flowed into a pool swamped with nostalgic relics and mossy greens. The hand model is our dearest @wadejeffree who proves to have more delicate hands than me!

We aspired to use juxtaposition to portray elegance and Machine Age pragmatism, two of the key components in the collection. We envisioned a world that existed neither indoors nor out, covered in a delicate overgrowth of wildflowers and mossy greens.
The scenes we created balance the line between practicality and unbelievability. They question feasibility yet demonstrate absolute functionality.

Thank you to an amazing team who helped make this all happen! @wadejeffree @dancingary @joshsondock @erikonagata_fld @erindesign_eriko @magsrud and more 💐🖤 #wadeandleta #design #photography #artdirection #designstudio #nyccreatives #designasperformance #physicaldesign #brizo #brizoinvari #brizofaucet.

Our second image for @brizofaucet! We envisioned this as a secret pond in the middle of a garden with multiple switches to initiate a majestic stream. Can you tell that @wadejeffree is the hand model here? 🙃 This is another image we created for the launch of @brizofaucet’s Invari collection.

New work! We’ve been sitting on this one for quite a few months but we are so excited to share this imagery we created for the launch of @brizofaucet’s Invari collection.

Let’s face it. Color makes me happier. It makes a lot of other people happy, too. It’s no surprise, having some vibrancy in your life makes you feel more youthful, more playful, and a little bit mischievous. It’s played such a prominent focus in my work, taking center stage and nearly defining the aesthetic. I’ve never had a favorite color, but i’ve had favorite ways of combining them and enjoying them—all together, never alone or individually. And yet, my wardrobe is filled with blacks and greys, sometimes hitting a staccato with a white blouse or pant. Our apartment for 7 years was a soft eggshell white, which we never bothered to paint, until now. We’re embarking on a personal color journey that will help bring our passion for color full-circle, covering the doors, the ceilings, the walls, and our floors. It’s already made me infinitely happier, and has inspired me that nothing needs to feel permanent, or infinite. Painting a fresh coat of paint involves taking a risk, no matter how small or subtle it may be. Plus, shouldn’t your home be a reflection of your personality, not devoid of it?.

Leaning in to Richard Serra’s “Reverse Curve,” a highlight of a therapeutic weekend filled with galleries, books, and painting our apartment bright clashing colors. More on that soon.

Yesterday we decided to take the day off (surprisingly, it’s something we barely did this summer) and took the opportunity to explore our favorite galleries and relish in their emptiness during office hours. In Chelsea, a visit to @Gagosian rewarded us with an empty sight of Richard Serra’s monumental Reverse Curve, a steel piece that consumes the entirety of the gallery space. From there, Guy Yanai’s paintings which work from a constrained color palette composed of delicately painted horizontal lines, constructing regular scenes in an alternative geometric dimension.
We zipped to 303 Gallery after that to feel like we were one with Jeppe Hein in an attempt to balance our energies.
Finally, we stomped on down to Soho to visit our final show of the day at @jeffreydeitchgallery, “Tokyo Pop,” curated by @nanzukaunderground. Featuring the likes of Harumi Yamaguchi, @yoshirotten 👋, and Hajime Sorayama, it was well rewarded after my phone informed me that we had already walked 8 miles. I caught Sorayama’s solo show in Tokyo last July (as well as Yamaguchi’s at #ginzagraphicgallery) and have become enamored ever since. Have a great weekend everyone!.

Happy Friday! Lots of achievements this week including a photo shoot, dismantling our sculptures from the seaport, getting a teeth cleaning, meeting with my homeopathic doctor (skin is out of control again, but don’t mind that), and installing new shelves in the studio! I definitely will never be able to reach that top shelf 😅 It’s feeling more and more like home in here as we organize the chaos of the past few months. We also have all these fun spare shapes laying around which make perfect photo op props! Have a good productive weekend everyone!.

Last week, @instagram's @design team stopped by our Brooklyn studio to chat with us about our process, our recent work, and what's next. Afterwards, we caught the ferry and hopped over to Manhattan to take a closer look at our seascape sculptures! From beginning to end, it's about design and questioning how things feel and then forming our concepts to create a reaction based on research and refinement. They took some fun shots of us, despite getting caught in the rain. We hope you'll enjoy, and go check out @design for more of the story!.

Hi friends. Due to some scheduling conflicts that were completely out of our control, our Seascape sculptures will be up for only two more weeks at the Seaport District. We’re sorry for those who planned to see them later in the year, but we’re grateful to all who already came, especially those of you who don’t even live in New York! This project had been pretty pinnacle for us and we’re so ecstatic to have been given the opportunity to create something semi-permanent in the city that we call our home. If you haven’t already, please please go and visit them! You’ll make our hearts happy. September 12 is the last day to see them, so go go go!.

Good morning from Brooklyn! The weather is [slightly] cooler, the light is bright, and the studio is clean! After spending quite a few months in New York working, shooting, launching websites, drawing shapes, building sculptures, and generally keeping busy, we are ready to reignite the travel bug and kick our work into high gear for the rest of the year. We are ready for you September! Have a wonderful holiday weekend everyone! Lots of love from our wiggly studio..

#throwback to this shoot that happened in spring that feels like it was nearly a year ago! This year has been very pivotal for @wadejeffree and I as we have started building bigger sets and bigger teams yet keeping our small studio mentality and doing most everything on our own - designing the sets, painting the sets, building the sets, art directing and photographing the sets (and talent!). While we do a lot of photography work, this isn’t everything and we’re slowly making moves to build bigger more emotional experiential work. I love being able to do everything at once and I get the most satisfaction from having a hand in everything and anything. 🤗.
