most common question in my DMs: how often do you work out on vacation/how do you eat/drink healthy while on vacation? two years ago I would’ve said: I wake up at 6:30 every day to get a workout in, I make sure to eat tons of protein at each meal & I drink a bottle of water in between every vodka water I drink. now? in 3 days I’ve done 30 minutes of a @madeline_moves workout, there is no such thing as a “skinny marg” in cancun, and I’m sure there’s a whopping 10g if protein in all the sushi I’ve eaten here 😂 I’ve wasted a lot of precious vacation time in the past being hyper freaking focused on what I’m eating and drinking, and how much I’m working out. I haven’t thrown all caution to the wind, and I’m not saying you can’t be conscious of those things, but there’s so much more to life than having that at the top of your priority list while you’re on vacation. I know that’s not the black and white answer you’re all looking for, but that’s where I’m at right now & it’s by far the “healthiest” vacation I’ve ever had 🙌🏼

Empaths are sometimes confused with empathetic. Being an empath means you can actually feel another person’s happiness or sadness in your own body.

The brain cells that are in charge of compassion are thought to be hyperactive in empaths. This can cause empaths to absorb other people's energies (good or bad) in their body.

This is so confusing because you may not know if your feeling your energy or someone else’s.

There are different types of sensitivities an empath may experience. Physical empaths, for example, are sensitive to other people’s physical symptoms and absorb them into their own bodies. Emotional empaths pick up on people’s emotions and absorb them whether, happy and sad.

Being an empath can have it’s pros and cons. The pros are you have greater intuition, are more compassionate, and can have a deeper bond with others. The cons are you can be easily overwhelmed, over-stimulated, exhausted.

For me personally, it is crucial to ground myself and clear my energy everyday. I do this by grounding in nature and using sage to clear the energy. This has helped me so much! For those that want more ways to protect themselves, stay tuned! I will be posting about that.

Free to choose our path, free to say the things we say, free to make the choices we make.

But I’m talking about the chains inside of you that won’t let you be free. -
What is holding you back from your full potential, your highest self?

Is it fear? (That’s a whole other topic) Is it self doubt? Can you not forgive yourself or someone else? What is it? -

I have wasted so many days not being truly F R E E. With an anxious mind it is SO easy to chain yourself down.

Chains can be heavy to carry. They will ware on you if you hang on to them for too long. Your body will physically feel tense/heavy too. -

You have to try your best to be mindful, present, and live in the moment. Whatever is meant to be will be. Whatever has happened is in the past. -

About 85% of the things we worry about never even happen. 85 FREAKING PERCENT!!!!!! I will take those odds y’all.

My mind has me always in my thoughts, constantly spinning around possible outcomes, it can be a wild place at times.

But this is MY brain, I can choose what thoughts I give life too. I can choose to focus on the positive or listen to the negative little chatter 📦 in my head! - -
How often are you listening to the negative Nancy in your head? Read Crash the Chatterbox by Steven Furtick if this is something you struggle with. -
I love that my brain is all over the place. It is full of ideas & creativity, it’s beautiful-so is yours! God created me this way. I think it’s truly a gift if I can harness is the right way. Also, don’t be afraid of therapy, don’t be afraid to seek help.

Let someone know you’re feeling this way. Have a support system. Not everyone will understand, or know how to help, but they can at least be there for you.

Every time we focus on the negative and listen to our own little worry wort inside our head we are missing out on precious opportunity to think about something amazing or life changing!

Stop looking at that 15% what if, self doubt, and worry side! Focus on that big 85% chunk of good things that CAN and WILL happen.

Let go of the things that are holding you back. Release the ⛓& BREAK FREE.

pumpkin spice lattes with ACTUAL pumpkin *gasp* 🎃 is an absolute mood, especially on the laziest of sundays. i’ve been loving my sundays at home so much that it’s become my favorite day of the week! if you’re in seattle, the ballard farmers market is perfect for produce and a cheeky baked treat. 🧁 if you’re in the mood to shop, the fremont market is THEEEE spot. there’s a little flea market and tons of local vendors specializing in home goods, jewelry, clothing, etc. I JUST LOVE IT. but CURRENTLY i am in san jose with a friend and we are going to work a flight to JFK later and i am equally happy 🤗 just remember, it’s the people who make you feel at home. recipe for my psl:
2 tbsp pumpkin purée
8 oz whatever coffee your ♥️ desires
2 oz plant based milk (i love cashew and coconut milk in this recipe)
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
1/2 tsp ashwaghanda (optional but not really)
coconut whipped cream & cinnamon to top (NOT optional!!! you can get the coco whip at trader joe’s!)
blend together your coffee, pumpkin, spices, and sweetener until mixed and frothy. pour into your favorite mug and top with coco whip and more cinnamon! all the love and real pumpkin!!! 🧡🖤#kaleintheclouds

Lunch was a little more like breakfast today but it hit the spot! 
COCONUT CHIA PUDDING
Serves 3 @ 3SP each

2 tbls Chia Seeds
1/2 cup reduced fat coconut milk
1 cup any zero smart point yogurt
1/2 tsp Vanilla Essence
1 Tbls Sugar Free Maple Syrup

Fresh fruit of your choice.

Put all ingredients in a bowl (except fruit) and soak overnight.
Once ready to serve add fresh fruit on top or in layers, add a sprinkle of coconut to garnish!
I am enjoying mangos being back in season (so are my kids which makes it hard for me to get my hands on them!) Yum! .
