🤔Do you know the real difference between personal branding and personal marketing?
Your personal brand is how you appear to the world—while personal marketing is how you share yourself with the world.💫 We live in a digital era, where it’s never been a more opportune time to turn your passion into profit… But that also means there are 10x the amount of professionals competing for the same clients and customers... And guess what? They are just as good at their job as you are. They offer the same service, at the same price, and they know just as much as you too.
Being great at your job is a perquisite.
But, hold up.
Do you know the one thing you have on them?
Your personal brand.🌟 It’s the only thing in this entire world that is totally and completely yours.
It’s the way you communicate with your clients.
Design your website.
Write a blog post.
Share an IG story.
It’s all of the things that are unique to your personality.👉🏼 And the only way to TRULY give your company a competitive edge, is to become savvy at personal marketing. With sharing your life, marketing your business, and telling your personal story in a way that’s 100% unique to who you are ♥️ I’m discussing exactly how to do this in an upcoming webinar for @entrepreneur on Wednesday, October 16th. Do you know the #1 thing that’s stopping you from building your personal brand?
It isn’t a lack of time.
It isn’t a lack of motivation.
And it isn’t a lack of discipline.
It’s caring too much about what other people think of you.
We are absolutely consumed by other peoples’ opinions of us. It’s an epidemic that is stopping us from living our purpose and rising into the positions we were meant to fill.
It’s the one thing that stops us from posting on IG stories.
It’s the one thing that motivates our decision to “play it safe” on LinkedIn.
It’s the one thing that dilutes our personal story.
And it’s the one thing that prevents us from sharing our professional expertise.
When we worry too much about what other people think of us, it damages our individuality—the very foundation of our personal brand.
But get this:
The sooner you can break free from the shackles of other peoples’ opinions, the sooner your content will become undeniably rich and authentic.
Because no one else sounds like you.
Thinks like you.
Writes like you.
Or posts like you.
And guess what? The best personal brands are polarizing. These are the people who have an opinion. Who say what they mean. Who speak out of turn.
So the next time you let someone else dictate what you post on the ‘gram, stop right there 👋🏻 I challenge you to think again.
Because there is no one like you in the entire world. There’s just you. Do you know how amazing that is?
And by simply sharing who you are, you can build a personal brand that will bring an abundance of success and opportunities for years to come 💓💸photo via @mellisajeanette ...
I’ve been watching @garyvee on YouTube for years. Yesterday I got to see him IRL.
I remember sitting on the floor of my apartment watching his videos with my college roommate @msalas__
He was so compelling that Mitchell got up at the butt crack of dawn to go garage sailing that Saturday. I think he bought a couple of picture frames 😂 and I don’t think he ever did anything with them lol. Anyways,
Yesterday Gary got up on stage and made the strongest case for personal branding I have ever heard. My hands were literally shaking. Heart racing. It was so good,
He said, “If you are not pushing out written word, photos, or videos on any of the 10 social media platforms that matter—you are making yourself extremely vulnerable in your career and missing out on one of the biggest opportunities of your era.
He said, It doesn’t matter what field you’re in—if you want to be successful at ANYTHING, you have to learn how to effectively communicate yourself online.
You may not like social media.
You may not want to talk to your iPhone like an idiot.
You may not want a “personal brand”. But understand, that this kind of thinking is what will get you left behind.
Welcome to the 2020s.
If you’re not making strides towards building your personal brand, you’re already late to the game. Because I GUARANTEE that your competitor already IS.
The people who are winning online will be the people who are winning big offline.
And if you don’t start shifting your idea of what it means to have an online presence, you won’t stand a chance. Seriously.

If you know me, you know crazy earrings are my thing. I’m not crazy for jewelry or gems in general, but these just get me ✨
I recently learned that the maker behind @novavita.co is still in high school (!!!) and I’m seriously blown away by her. From the packaging to the quality of her designs, she just gets it, and it makes me so happy to see flourishing creative entrepreneurship at such a young age.
Y’know where I worked in high school? An Italian ice shop called Rita’s. And as grateful as I am for that experience (and the free treats), it’s amazing that these days, young people can build a creative brand, market it from the phone in their pocket, make *that* their high school job and reap the benefits of learning the ins and outs of small business ownership in the process. With that being said, go grab yourself some @novavita.co ! ...
Ready for the✨EASIEST✨creativity hack ever??💯
A recent study found that moving your eyes back and forth (left to right, right to left) for 30 seconds not only improves your memory, but it actually boosts the NUMBER and QUALITY of your original ideas!! Scientists think it has to do with the increased communication between the right and left hemispheres of the brain.
•Stumped on that project at work?
•Trying to come up with more effective discipline for your kids?
•Exasperated with the flow (or lack thereof) in your kitchen?
•Figuring out how to end world hunger?
30 seconds of intentional eye movement can help you out!🙌🏻👀🙌🏻
