Which is your most memorable white Burgundy from 2015 vintage?
Many people (including myself) over the past few years have been 🤨 about a quality of white Burgundy from 2015 due to ☀️a vintage. I learned recently researching this glorious vintage which for white wines could be compared to 2009, however unlike 2009 which sadly has been picked too late and that actually didn’t happen in 2015 which in their best, purest form have been dazzling with freshness and on the picture @pierreyvescolinmorey and Clos de Mouches @maisonjosephdrouhin both been extremely pleasurable to the point were on the first bottle of Chassagne I couldn’t 🛑 finishing better half of a bottle while catching up with a friend over lunch. Luckily, this was just a perfect excuse to open the second bottle.🤣
This very bottle reminded me why I love Burgundy, don’t believe anyone who scores this wine, (not even me🤣) lovely, clean and precise aroma of ripe orchard and citrus fruit, yellow plums with🕯wax, and 🍋 peel with yellow and hint of butterscotch. As you let it sit in the glass wine keep on revealing hints of melted butter, nutmeg and cinnamon with citrus oil and cardamom with a delicate note of reduction. Shockingly seamless integration, with abundant energy and power perfectly balancing texture leaving your palate invigorating as if you just have a sip of spring water. Deeply satisfying, something to behold
@pierreyvescolinmorey deserves round of applause for this effort. 😍 ...
If you can only choose one, which one would you choose to drink this weekend? ...
The closest I get to a French Château in LA, is a house in Hancock Park haha! But I drink French Wines from a French Château, so that counts... 🍷🍷🍷•
• Here is Le Roc @domaine.leroc Fronton Saignée Rosé. This Rosé is a blend of 65% Negrette, 30% Syrah, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The vibrant deep pink color comes from red currants, raspberries and strawberries! Yummmm what a fruity blend then hits you with a spice note.
Full bodied Rosé that goes well with the Fall Season! Cheers! @winesofswfrance#sipsouthwest#winesofswfrance ...
