Throughout the past few weeks, I have been avoiding thinking about what people call a "work life balance“. 😅 I started this semester highly motivated about the seminars I registered for. 😊 But this semester, there are also a few changes in my life outside university. I subconsciously knew that my routines from last year wouldn’t work anymore, as I now have several events and meetings that I must attend in the evenings or on weekends in my schedule. 🤷♀️ Next week will be the 6th week of my third semester and while a lot of students aim high at the beginning of the semester and set new goals, I still had my goals and routines as regular. ☺️ I am slowly realising now that I won’t be successful with the expectations and goals I had in the past year. 😅
This is not a question of ambition or motivation. From my previous posts, you might know that I have found my "Why?“ to such an extent that there are very few moments actually when I am lazy and don’t feel like working on my assignments for the week. 🤷♀️☺️ But as I accommodate these new duties into my life, I’m currently trying to shape my day and university schedule into something like an 8 to 6 day. 👍 This means I spend my free periods in the library, studying and preparing for my seminars the following week. I’ll be able to study Korean and follow up with Chinese in the evenings when I don’t have any more work for university or event to attend. The result is that I’ll slowly start to build a feeling of work-life balance that I have never had to tackle before. Do something today that your future self will thank you for. 🙃

Last week was slow and steady. I tried the Hobonichi Weeks layout from the templates already included in my DPC Slim Notebook. I realized I don’t really miss this layout and I’m a vertical girl. 🤣
