What matters is your soul, your purpose, the destiny you’re here to manifest. You have to lose you to find you; you have to lose your faith to believe again. You are the treasure that matters. Dan x ...
The practice of being misunderstood is essential if you want to life a life of purpose + intention.
I have to stress that this is a practice. Meaning, it’s something you commit to. It’s not something that happens over night.
If we have unprocessed trauma, being misunderstood literally feels like abandonment. And rejection. Emotions like fear come up that send us into shame spirals. Our ego becomes defensive, it over-explains, it defaults to its favorite mode: judgement.
Our culture has “norms” that are highly dysfunctional. Anyone who questions or frees themselves from these norms will be misunderstood.
Our work is to tune inward. To feel the emotions to come up. To allow them.
Our work is to objectively view the messenger.
Our work is to allow their AND our truth at the same time. Ah, the magic of non-duality!
We are locked in a war with ourselves. Obsessive judgement. “Right” “wrong” + “us” “them.” A “cancel” culture of fear that causes us to label, qualify, and place ourselves and those we meet into tiny boxes where we don’t have to think beyond ego judgement.
Beyond this space is conscious awareness. A space beyond labels. This is the space of the observer. The witness.
Beyond this space is the rare person who knows peace. The rare person who’s met their shadow self with acceptance. They no longer need to project it onto others.
Practice being misunderstood. Welcome the opportunities. They are probably the most valuable thing to your evolution #selfhealers ...
Hi ya’ll 👋 Right now, I encourage you to go to the mirror or/and place a gentle hand on your chest where you are at this moment. Take a deep breath and repeat the mantra; ‘I am worthy, I am divinely guided, I am loved, I wholeheartedly enough...’ (whatever nurturing words/affirmations you feel your soul needs to hear right now.) Take another deep breath and really feel and mean what you say and if your looking into a mirror really look into your eyes and say ‘I love you’. Take some time to appreciate. (This may feel awkward and uncomfortable at first but the more you feel into it the more natural it will become.) So often we are our worst enemies and never take a moment to appreciate our body, our home, and our uniqueness and soul. So often we are running around trying to find a outer source of validation, appreciation and love when inner validation and self love is needed. So often we are running around trying to find what is already within us. So often we are our own loaded weapons of self destruction and rarely a garden of hope and a comforting home. And so often we don’t think we deserve the same love we give out to others.
And in a world where hating yourself has been a marketing tactic for so long and loving yourself therefore, a rebellious act. Be the rebel, a futurist and give yourself some love and affection. You are so damn worthy of it. If you don’t believe that, know that I do. x 💖 ...
